Coffee’s For Closers Only
Good morning. As i sit here this morning over a nice hot cup of coffee, I find it fitting to explain to all of you who may be new to this blog where and what the title means, and what it means to me.
As a career salesman I have always entrenched myself with sales books, movies, lectures, seminars and such. You see there are not true sales classes at the University level, so much like my colleagues across the sales world, I have had to find other ways to “educate” myself to further my career. I engrossed myself into the sales world. I have been attracted to anything that relates to me and my career.
One particular movie I enjoyed was based on the happenings in a struggling real estate office, Glengarry Glen Ross. If you have ever seen this movie, you obviously know where the title came from, the best seven minutes of Alec Balwin’s movie career.

The speech Baldwin gave is one many salespeople hear (just not always extreme), and lets face it coffee comes with the territory. I can’t count the number of people in sales that rely on a good old cup of joe. Now as far as the title fitting an advertising and marketing blog? Well as advertising goes, its all one big sales pitch.
My love of the movie, and coffee, and sales has led me to take my daily ideas and put them out there for all to share and collaberate. Please enjoy and contribute.

Not too certain how I found your blog but glad I did find it. Think I was searching for something else on google. Not sure I agree 100% with what you say, but have bookmaked and will pop back to understand to see if you add any extra posts. Carry on the very good work.
